Thames Water will be carrying out essential 24/7 repair works to the section of the sewer that runs diagonally through the One Nine Elms site. These emergency repairs will be carried out continuously over the next two weeks allowing the main Sewer strengthening works to follow this under the same Section 61 agreement.
A de-silting truck will be in operation at the Wandsworth Box area of the site to cleanse the sewer while works are taking place. Over pumping shaft works to facilitate the Sewer works, adjacent to the site cabins, will also commence next week.
The repairs are not anticipated to be noisy and the site team from Multiplex will be in place at all times to ensure that disruption for neighbours is kept to a minimum.
The repair works to the sewer mark a significant step in progressing the construction works at One Nine Elms and have gone through extensive planning with Thames Water.
Dalian Wanda are committed to reducing the impact of construction works for our neighbours. Vibration, dust and noise levels are frequently checked by static and attended monitoring.
Damping down of the site takes place to reduce the spread of dust from the site and wheel washing takes place to all vehicles before leaving the site to ensure that dust does not spread on local roads.
